The book Remy Family in America by B. W. Rhamy, 1942, page 373 says the following when discussing Jacob Remy. George Washington's Diary, Vol 1, page 397; "Date Sep 15, 1770. Mr Renny came here this afternoon." Rhamy does not offer proof that Renny is actually Remy. Attributing this entry to a Remy, much less Jacob Remy considering that Washington did not give the first name of his visitor, is inappropriate. I suspect this attribution is another one of the many errors in the Remy book. Rick Ramey
