And, I meant it both ways. I truly do not object to humor mixed with information exchange. (Seriously) You will also notice that I have tried to make my comments on the list generic and not personal. I am not without a sense of humor nor any more of a serious researcher than you are. In addition, your suggestion: "Have you guys tried the Words-L list? It's pretty fun if you like that sort of thing (words, I mean).I know there are some "serious" wordsmiths/punsters and the like on the Ramey-L list! I say poop! on those fuddy-duddies." does not feel like a constructive way to find a workable solution for everyone. Public criticism of Jim Miller's spelling also seemed unnecessarily mean spirited to me.
