Hi everyone, I posted this a while back, but have not gotten a response. The fella with Ramey's in McLean Co. IL never wrote me back. His loss, I suppose. I do have the info about this family from The Remy Family, but it seems to be wrong. Here goes with crossed fingers: I am looking for anyone anywhere who might be related to W.A. Ramey :-) My great grandfather, William Abbott Ramey was supposed to have been born in Bloomington, McLean County, IL on 15 Oct 1874. Soon after his parents died, he lived with a family named HOLT, allegedly near Hope, AR. He and his brother, John Henry RAMEY are said to have gone to Kansas to live with their grandmother, Sarah Ann RAY. I cannot prove a bit of that !!! Nor can I find their parents, who are supposed to be Pete RAMEY and Phoebe ABBOTT. I do know that W.A. lived in Madison Co., and Sebastian Co. AR. W.A. RAMEY and Ellen (Dolly) JOHNSON were married in Huntsville, Madison Co., AR ca. 1895. They had 15 children. W.A. and Dolly divorced and remarried a few times after their last child was born in 1927. They were not married on 10 Dec 1941 when W.A. died in Huntington, Sebastian Co., AR (in his brother's home). W.A. was buried in an unmarked and unrecorded (according to the oh-so-helpful staff) grave in Rose Lawn Cemetery, Fort Smith, Sebastian County, AR. I have no hard info about his brother, parents, or grandparents. The children of W.A.
