A good researcher takes any and ALL information that he can glean and then sets out to prove it... that is the name of the game... we are very thankful for the "Book" it does give much in where to locate proofs in many instances, but in just as many there is nothing.... So we use it as a good starting point... you might say.....Please be very thankful that we have this book.... It was written about 70 years ago and much is now available that was not then....... And you never adopt any ones information unless you quote where it came from and that you have or have not proven said material.
