    3. Hi Marsil: I've had several replies to my inquiry. I have not been able to find Lawrence on the 1860 or 1870 census. Any of you that are interested in Lawrence, might check out the Handbook of Texas Online which has an interesting write up on Lawrence. After getting to the site do a search on Lawrence Ramey. The Kincen Holliman that is referred to in the article is from Mississippi which would help with the line which stayed in MS before coming to Texas. Lawrence is also listed on another site as being at the Battle of SanJacinto. However, I think that might be the best bet to find out anymore about this Lawrence. I have been told that some of those Stephen F. Austin applications (or whatever they are called) are in English a nd some in Spanish. Either way, would be a good source of info for us. > I did not find Lawrence in the 1860 census records.
