Well, well, isn't that intersting? A NY Ramey-after all. New ideas? You are kidding, aren't you? First things first I suppose. We do need to check those probate records in Texas. We do need to know what we are talking about-would be nice, wouldn't it. 2ndly I would think we should try to find old Lawrence on an earlier census record of NY-that can be quite a chore-even then NY was heavily populated. We should be able to find him on a census record of 1820 at least. Maybe still at home tho-look for a Ramey under different spellilngs. He apparently never married or if so-they did survive him. Okay and still the finding of those records that the Mexicans kept on the colonist is a good idea. Have been told they kept extremely good records on those colonist -should be at the State Library in Austin. Even if they are in Spanish, we can get them translated today easily,. I have forgotten-do we really have proof that he was born in NY? Dr. Rhamey had several Ramey's at the Alamo also-we know that is incorrect. Marsil
