    3. Marsil - I apologize for misspelling your name previously. Anyway we have no proof that he was born in NY except for the listing on the 1850 census which is hardly conclusive. The article also stated that he was from NY and indicated that according to the probate records, both sisters were still in NY or New England. Marshall apparently moved to Matagorda Cty and sold the land and apparently the land patent rights in one case. Matagorda county is a long way from here and I doubt that I'll be checking those records anytime soon. I will however call the county clerk and see if I can obtain a copy by mail. I'll keep you posted with what I find out, also will try to do some census work for both Marshall and Lawrence in NY. tom r -----Original Message----- From: Marsil Creech <MARCREECH@Prodigy.Net> To: <RAMEY-L@rootsweb.com> Date: Sunday, July 30, 2000 12:30 PM Subject: [RAMEY-L] Lawrence of NY? >Well, well, isn't that intersting? 3. Think I will try the State Library-with hope. The only Reamy (that is the spelling of this one) I have in NY is a Milton Joseph Reamy -b. 1892-so this is no help. Thought I would mention him tho-was born in MAss. Thanks- Marsil ----- Original Message ----- From: Tom Ramey <tramey@txucom.net> To: <RAMEY-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, July 30, 2000 9:22 PM Subject: Re: [RAMEY-L] Lawrence of NY?
