    3. Can something be done about some of the cruel personal attacks that results when someone dares to speak their mind? I thought there was some kind of a rule on the list regarding numerous posts with the same heading? (I direct your attention to the "Hoof in Mouth Disease") posts. I personally have no problem with people sending personal messages through the board; however, I do think we need to respect those people who do have a problem with it. A person sent a very polite request that this not be done and received a personal attack and sarcasm in return - I am embarrassed to call myself a member of this list when I see things like this happening - I find this list very helpful and would hate to unsub due to a hostile environment. As well, for new members of the list it does not exactly give the impression of a helpful, friendly, community-like atmosphere that I am sure rootsweb is trying to promote. Yes, I agree we can all hit the delete button; however, we shouldn't have to just to get rid of nasty e-mail - besides which, sometimes people don't change the subject line and the information contained in the e-mail is not at all relevant to what the subject says the e-mail will be about. Think of all the information that would be missed out on by deleting every e-mail that a person didn't change the subject line on. I would appreciate, as I am sure would others, if the Listmaster would address this issue. Thank you for your time.
