Pension states he served with a Texas Unit in Civil War. I also know that there are still descendants living in Trinity, Texas. I have written to them but did not receive a reply. I have the pension papers because I was hoping it was my old George W. Reamy with wife Elizabeth aka Betty. Do you think maybe George W. Ramey was married before Bettie Roberts? I have further info on children if you think this is the right bunch. One of George's sons-William had a son he named William Neale Ramey. Makes me wonder if George W. is related to the bunch in Westmoreland Co VA.They loved the name Neale-apparently after a wife-Hannah Elizabeth Neale-or maybe not.
