Does anyone have any information regarding this Joshua Ramey??? Joshua Ramey b. 1781 ,, Virginia d. 1850/1860 ,, Ohio m. Rachel (possibly Sellers??) ch: Mary b. 1811,, Virgnia m. Green Porter, June 9, 1833 This information was submitted to LDS and I have been unable to contact the submitter. I have reason to believe that this Joshua Ramey MAY be the father of my ggg grandfather John Ramey who was b. 1808 in Virginia but have been unable to find documentation to support this. The 1850 Ohio Census (Clark County, same county where my John Ramey married his wife Lydia Lunbeck) has a Joshua Ramey and Rachel Ramey ages 69 and 65 listed. 1860 Ohio Census has no Ramey's listed - I am so far going on the assumption that both Joshua and Rachel died before the 1860 census. I have tried to obtain a will from the Clerk of Courts in Clark County but they do not have one on file. I have found the marriage record for my John Ramey in Clark County, as well as the above Mary Ramey but no parents are listed in this record. Any ideas on how to prove parentage?? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
