    3. My ggg grandfather John Ramay was born in Berkeley Co. of what is now W. Va in 1808. I have second-hand info that he moved to Ross Co., Oh. as a child but haven't verified this info yet. In 1833 he married Lydia Lunbeck in Clark Co. Oh and moved shortly after to Louisa Co., Ia and then to Warren Co., Ia where he died in 1889. His child William Ramay (my gg grandfather) was born in Louisa Co. and married Susan Frances Williams (of NJ.) in Warren Co., Ia in 1870. They then had several children also and if you are interested I can send you that info. John Ramay does appear on a couple of census index as Ramey; however, for the most part I have always come across the spelling as Ramay. I can't wait to view the info at the Family History Center and hopefully it will provide me with his parents' names. From what little info I have found in Va so far, it seems that every Ramey, Ramay or Remy had a child named either John or William and then they all had children and named them John and William also!! They are a tough bunch to track down, especially for someone new to genealogy like me! The timing is certainly right for John to possibly be one of Elijah's 9 children. Do you know if they ever lived in Ohio? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sue Feild" <suefeild@jps.net> To: <RAMEY-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, April 17, 2000 7:46 AM Subject: Re: [RAMEY-L] My Ramay Line, Va, Oh, Ia. > My gggg grandfather , Elijah Ramey was born in Va., we know that he had 9 children, one of which was my ggg grandfather William P. 3. A couple had been married for 25 years and also celebrated their 60th birthdays. During the celebration a fairy appeared and said that because they had been such a loving couple all those years, she would give them one wish each. The wife wanted to travel around the world. The fairy waved her and boom! She had the tickets in her hand. Next, it was the husband's. He paused for a moment, then said shyly, "Well, I'd like to have a woman 30 years younger than me." The fairy picked up her wand and boom! He was 90.

    3. Hi. Sorry it took me so long to respond. So far in my search I have not encountered any information relating to Tn. I haven't at this point even attempted to locate the parents of John Ramay (who was born in VA), and have most of my info from obituaries kept by my Grandmother. I have requested films at the LDS regarding the marriage of John Ramay and Lydia Lunbeck which may hopefully give me that information; however, they have not yet arrived. I will certainly post again after I receive them with that info. Do your Ramay's by any chance originate in Va? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sue Feild" <suefeild@jps.net> To: <RAMEY-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, April 15, 2000 9:56 AM Subject: Re: [RAMEY-L] My Ramay Line, Va, Oh, Ia. > Hi, > I am very interested in the RAMAY family.
