    3. Lois, come on now... lets have the whole story... not just nibbles......Jeannie <>< -----Original Message----- From: Lois Arthur [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, August 25, 1998 9:52 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [RAMEY-L] Indiana and Elizabeth Taylor Hello, One of you nice people on the list asked me about my Ramey connection and living in Indiana. I accidently deleted the message. Sorry. My great great grandfather was Joseph Parish in Ohio. He married Kaziah Ramey, daughter of Alexander Ramey and Elizabeth Cooke of Ohio. Joseph and Kaziah had a son name William Parish. He was my great grandfather. He married Isabel Stahl, the girl next door, and they moved to Marion County, Illinois. William and Isabel had a son named Frank Parish who married Ora Lene Belle Deadmond of Illinois. They had a son name Wilbur L. Parish, my father. When he was four, his parents moved to Grant County, Indiana where I was born. Today I live in Owen County, Indiana. That is how I fit into the Ramey family and came to be in Indiana I can send you dates if you are interested in this line. My Ramey line originated in Virginia Marsil, You said that the one of us who looks most like Elizabeth Taylor should wear the Isis Crown. All my life, I have been told I look like Elizabeth Taylor. Just today, three different people came up to me and said, "Wow, you sure look like Elizabeth Taylor!" I would never lie about a thing like that. So I should wear the crown! Actually, I have a true story about the Crown of Isis that occurred about 20 years ago. It is really, really strange. And today I have physical proof of this event in the form of an image of the horns on the crown INSIDE the wood on a closet door. If you are interested, I will tell you about it later. I don't want to clog the Ramey mailing list with stories about my strange life any more than I have to. Have to go. I home school my son and it is time to get at it. 3. I was fortunate to go with a group to the Los Angeles City Library on Saturday, I live in San Diego, California. To put it all together, I am from Willie Reamy, my great grandmother. I just started genealogy about six months ago and found Marsil. Her grandfather and my great great grandfather were brothers. I was a blank at this family, as my grandfather died 5 years ago . I know he would have known more, but my grandmother did not like him to talk. I was just talking to my mother this morning and we were talking about how my grandfather was so Honest. So, how can I better honor him than to tell you that I will help any one who paid to get the Remy book on Cd. That I will go back to Los Angeles in October, and can I copy the book? I see that it is just typed and donated in 1938. This is in memory of a wonderful man, Alfred Washam.

I checked all the obits just in case (you just never know). My line comes from John Remy and Catherine Hardin and am pretty sure of the info I have on those descendents but am always looking for a name that might connect down the line. You know how those folks tended to marry and basically keep it in the family and that might explain why we all are a brick short. <g> Anyway, I wanted to say how sorry I am that some folks felt compeled to stone you for doing a good thing. Just think what they would have done if you did a bad thing. I hope we all try to have a little more patience and keep the nastiness and meaness contained within oneself. Remember "But those things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart and they defile a man." Matt 15:19 Perhaps some of us need a heart check up. Thanks Jeannie for all your hard work and again sorry that you were critized for it. 3. Marsil, What are you doing on the computer so late? I thought I was the only one who stayed up late to read this Ramey list. You know, those hairy little cave babies, so I have been told, had glowing green hair. They had large, almond shape eyes and wore diapers made of saber tooth cat skin. As for the mammoths, you would not want any. The meat was too tough and they smelled from here to Mars. What gets me about this Ramey history is the Ancient Egyptian thing. To think that I may actually be a decended of Ramses The Great. That blows my mind. I can just see me wearing the Crown of Isis, being carried in a golden carriage by palace slaves. Bossing people around. I'll bet Cleopatra would be so jealous. It makes you want to treat me with respect, right? Enough of this. I've got to get to bed. I'm getting space happy here. Please don't keep me up any longer. Lois Arthur Egypt (actually Indiana, but don't tell anyone) ----------ORIGINIAL MESSAGE------------ : : Well Lois, : So where are my share of the mammoths?
