I received a reply today from Philip Thieme, grandson of Dr. Rhamey regarding the letter it sent him last week. He says it is ok to copy the book. He gave me the address and phone number of the genealogy dept in Fort Wayne to call or write about geting copies. I take it this means we can procede with our plans to type or scan this book or we can make copies i we prefer. Ernie Castle [email protected]
Thanks, Ste Jeanne! Cyndi
I don't know how many time I have to say this, but LOIS.... you are confused.... I am NOT Nefertiti....I am the Saint.... Jean of Arc........you have heard of me, my mother is a Ramey, she was King Didier's sister.. he was a big time RHEMIE......... Cyndi, Please, don't get us started again. Jeannie and I are too upset because Marsil got the crown. All I got was a feather in an outback hatband, and Jeannie thinks she looks like Queen Nefertiti. Crazy, right? No one knows for sure if the Rameys are descended from Ramses. Sooooo, why not. Who can say different? We are probably all descended from Ramses The Great. Sounds good doesn't it? All those people who have ancestors who came over on the Mayflower can't beat this. That's about it. Welcome back Lois Arthur in Indiana [email protected] ----------ORIGIANL MESSAGE---------: : Dang! It's an electrifying idea. The story gives me a charge.( Gosh, I'm so clever.) This family reminds me of my trendy sister. She never eats Sloppy Joes; she eats Untidy Josephs. One of my ancestors was hanged. However, I prefer to say that he occupied a high position in the world of Botany. (I amaze myself at how clever I am.) O.K. Marsil, it's your turn. Lois.. Thanks for responding so quickly...I've checked info that I have & I show Michael REMAI married in Cleveland Ohio to Rose VARGO in 1902. Rose migrated alone to the US ca 1898 at age 12 & married at 16. I have nothing more for REMAI & VARGO. I need to send for a marriage certificate. Perhaps that will give me some added info also. LaVonne
Rather than have everyone send me their copies of their pages, I was going to wait and see if Wilma gets the copies, I will buy one from her and then work with Ken and scan the pages and put them up for all. For corrections, just e-mail me or Ken and we will include it on the web page. That way everyone gets to see the "real" book and then corrections that have been found...Sound ok to all?
