Hello Ken and everyone, I am so sorry that you all are having such a hard time getting this book. I know I was to take mine to the Office Max to see if I could get copies and how much it would cost. Well for the past three weeks I have been very sick. On Friday Sept 10, I had a heart catherazation done because the doctor thought I was haveing a heart attack. Thank God there was no blocked valves, I was still very sick and the very next friday on Sept 18th, I had gaul blatter surgery. I am home now trying to recover. As soon as I am able to get out again I will take my book to Office Max. Now The pictures in mine are gone, the person who copied this for me did not do a good job on the pictures. If I can get to a library I will see if I can get copies of the pictures, I would like to have them also. The copy I have is in nice print, there are 2 sections of the book. Section one is pages 1 - 276. and section two is 277 - 492 with supplement. The name on the books says THE REMY FAMILY IN AMERICA 1650 - 1942 Is this the book everyone wants ? Please let me know. Hi, Doris; Yes...my copy was in the same sorry state. Missing pages, unreadable pages, pages out of sequence, too small to read, and useless pictures. While I wish you the best of luck on getting a refund, based on "Bob's" history on this list, I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you. Ken RAMEY
Dear Mr. Wright, I received the "book" today and I must say that I am very disappointed. The first 15 pages of the "book" are not included, as well as pages 274 thru 325. Some pages are duplicated and so small I need a magnifying glass to read them. This isn't really a book, rather a bunch of copied pages. They were not even in numerical order. I just cannot believe that a reputable company could turn out such work. I do not believe that I, or the others on the Ramey list paid for this type of thing. I will be glad to return mine for a refund. I do not think that is too much to ask since this all started last March and finally in September I receive a batch of barely legible copies. I expect to hear from you in the next couple of days. I think we have waited long enough, I will have no choice to contact the Better Business Bureau and other Authorities. I have saved your correspondence to the list which states all your promises, none of which have been fullfilled. I too am descendant from Moses Ramey & Christina Ramey and share in Jim Miller's desire to identify Moses' parents. I have no proof - but I am speculating that Moses' parents could be Daniel Ramey & Rachel Johnson. Below is a Descendant's Chart for Daniel Ramey that illustrate how the dates, children's name and locations make it possible that Moses was the brother of Wm. Ramey, abt 1782 and son of Daniel Ramey. Can anyone support or document that Daniel was not the father of Moses?
