All I have on the Fortenberry's is: 1870 Census Cherokee Co.,Ala (William is deceased after 1850 census) (GS#0545506-dwelling 5) Mary Fortenberry age 39 bn SC Edna Fortenberry age 18 ?bn Ala Lydia Rainwater age 90 bn Va Mary Rainwater age 22 bn Ga 1880 Cherokee Co.,Ala Noah Fortenberry age 31 Mary "age 6 dau Theresa age 24 wife Mary (Rainwater?)age 51 Mother Lidia Rainwater age 97 grandmother Susan Low age 19(step-dau of Wilkes) 1850 Census Cherokee Co.,Ala We believe William and Lydia had daughters Mary age 19 who is shown with her husband Cornelius Fortenberry age 28 and son Noah age 2 Also Sara age 27 shown as husband of Absolom Fortenberry age 37 with Ruben age 3; Lydia age 2 and Mary age 8/12.
