It was "The Joseph and Barsheba Thomas Webb Genealogy", and traces their family to the mid-1700's. Mostly they are located in East Tennessee. While browsing the book for my FORTENBERRY or HICE family I found the following. Zelma Alice Costner, daughter of Charity Webb (born 1844) and Frank Costner married Eli Mathis. Had six children: Howard and Harold (twins), Carroll, Jack and Betty (twins), and Barbara. William Moody "Bill" Teague, born 1897, married Blanche Rainwater. Had three children: Mary Bernice, Robert Joseph, and Gordon. Ida Ruth Williamson, born 3/27/1948, married Donald Mathis, born 1947. Had two children: Donnie and Robin. Thelma Hill married Wayne Rainwater. One child, Micky. Rachel Williamson, born 5/12/1875 an died 8/10/1931), married R. Dharman Mathis. Had eleven children: Eli, Kurt, Sam, Ritta, Lena and Jeter (twins), Mary, Lewis, Tom, Theodore, and Rufus. Annie Lou Gibson married Kermit Thomas Rainwater. Had twins, Victor and Victoria. Some of the primary names in the book include: WEBB, GILES, McGAHA, McMAHON, WILLIAMSON, and COSTNER. Also several entries for MATHES.
