Hello- I am researching an ancestor (who is a Rainwater according to family tradition) who married John Lewallen (b. 1811 in North Carolina). She is supposed to be the sister of Matthew Rainwater (m. Mahalia “Hallie” Jane Snapp). Since I can't find out anything on my ancestor, I thought maybe I could back into some information. So, I am trying Matthew. Matthew and Hallie had several children who married Lewallens. Can anyone tell me anything about these Lewallens? They are: Moses Alexander Lewallen, m. Margaret Elizabeth Rainwater 10/25/1856.
