I am decended from Rev. James Rainwater (the Preacher) who migrated to Georgia. He had a son named Zebulon Miles, who was born in SC. He married a Lilla Ann Thompson abt 1845 and died abt 1857. "From History of Coweta Co., Ga."; compiled and written by the Newnan-Coweta Historical Soc'y.; Then also from "The Georgia Black Book"; "8 Feb 1857 Benjamin F. Rainwater was murdered in Campbell Co., Ga; 14 Jan 1858 an Executive Order was issued for the arrest of Zebulon Miles Rainwater, for the murder of his brother, Benjamin F. Lilla is listed as the head of household in the 1860 census of Campbell Co., Ga. James Rainwater referred to Z. Miles Rainwater as deceased in his will which was written in 1865.
