Hal, Actually, and with no intention of reviving the Civil War, I believe Kentucky was a Union state. There were quite a few Kentuckians that fought on the CSA side and died here in Georgia. They were referred to as the Kentucky Orphans. I have ancestors on both sides that fought in the Civil War conflict, but there are some people today that are still kind of sensitive towards the North/South thing.
