NC to Benja Hill of Franklin Co., for 1,200 pds. current money a tract of 96 acres in Franklin Co. adjoining George Bledsoe and is the land on which John Rainwater, Junr., formerly lived. Wit: Wm. Wilhite and Thomas E. Milles. (NOTE: Possibily one area from where the 'Miles' name entered into the family.) >From Franklin Co. NC Deed Book 6, 02 March 1789, Benjamin Hill of Franklin Co. to John Williams of same, for 5 lbs, specie a parcel of 10 acres lying on the waters of Flat Rock Creek adjoining Browning Williams’ old corner, John Rainwater’s old field, Benja.
