Hi Susan, thanks for info.....here's a tidbit that you may or may not have re: Elizabeth Rainwater that married Isaac Roberts. For many years I corresponded with a John Roberts who descended from Isaac Roberts......he sent me doc's showing that Isaac had first married Elizabeth Norfleet and had seven children. Elizabeth Norfleet then died in 1842. He then married Elizabeth Rainwater and they moved to Bedford IN where Elizabeth's sister Nancy lived. Nancy was married to William Roy of either Pulaski Co. In addition to Isaac's seven children they had three sons; William Roberts Nov 1844, Abraham b. 1847; and a third son in 1849. Isaac took sick and apparently died. John Roberts states that Elizabeth kept and operated the Roberts farm with help from her sisters, Nancy Rainwater Roy (who was twin to my John Rainwater)....and apparently the oldest Rainwater sister, Lydia ( had lived with Nancy for some years to take care of children) from Isaac's death in 1849 until Elizabeth married Zachariah Loveall of Pulaski Co., KY at Bedford IN. on 15 Oct 1854. He was son of Zachariah Loveall and Elizabeth Anderson Kelsey. They had children: Miles, b. 18 Sept 1856 who married Hattie Carttick Jun 1887; Kelsey, b. 22 April 1857, who marr first Clara Smith and second Mattie Seymore; Zachariah Jr., 22 Nov 1859 who married Jesse Carttick; and Lydia (no other dtata available). Elizabeth thus raised Isaac's 7 Children and her own 7 children. A note indicates that when the Roberts farm was sold, Elizabeth divided the proceeds among the 10 Roberts childen prior to her marriage to Z Loveall. In 1861 or 1862 the Loveall Family which now included Lydia, helping with the children, moved to Fairbault Co., MN......Shortly after arriving the younger Lydia died and is buried next to her Aunt Lydia (1802-1886) at Rice Cemetery near Wells, MN. Records indicate that Zachariah died about 1891 and Elizabeth in 1896 but place of burial has not been discovered. John Roberts says he has obit from local newspaper but it reports death only and he feels that burial was probably on the home place near SE of Wells. Thought you might like to have this data as background material and to relate what happened to Lydia Rainwater. Also answers questions as to Nancy Rainwater Roy....BTW I still have a Cousin, Carly Roy, Bethelridge, KY who was dau of Hetty Rainwater and Dillard Barber, whose husband connects back to the William Roy above....... Hal, from windy & cooool Northern California!
