Dan Melissa, I am descendant of Gabriel and Nancy Toney Rainwater. They had 3 daughters Susannah Elizabeth b 4 May 1833 m Calvin Pruitt 19 Jan 1850 Letta Manerva b1839, m William Jackson Gossett Sarah M. O.(or D) b 1841 no idea who she married; however, here is a clue. Susannah Elizabeth married second to William B. Gossett (first cousin to William J that married her younger sister) in approx 1867 after her first husband perished at end of Civil War. By the 1870's both couples were located in Blount Co, AL along with Gabriel and Nancy Toney Rainwater. A McAfee family seems to have played a prominent role in the family's life at that time. Advise to look in Blount Co, AL(Oneonta is the CS). Believe you will find the marriage records there. I am all confused right now as it is late, will search some more and get back with you.
