Hi everyone, I don't post often, well, OK barely at all, but I read with interest all of the posts. I have a question and I also want to post some information I received a month ago. First, I have been told that it is likely that Alexander Martin is not the son of John Nelson Rainwater. If this is true, then who are his parents? I am inclined to believe he fits in there somewhere if not son, is there a possibility that he is John's younger brother? Alexander married Barbara Rainwater's niece, Sarah Elizabeth. Second, here is the information I have. I have a copy of a picture of Alexander Martin and I finally found where Sarah Elizabeth (Emert/Emmett) Rainwater/Linder was buried. My husband took me to Albany, OR (I live in Oakridge about 1 1/2 hours away) on Mother's Day 1998 to search for Alexander and Sarah's graves. We finally found the Masonic Cemetery behind the hospital and found the family plot. Alas, I could not find Sarah's grave. There was a spot next to Alexander's grave without a head stone and I hoped it was hers. I wrote to the Masonic chapter there last Sept. or Oct., but never received an answer. Well, about a month ago, they wrote me and apologized for not getting right back to me. There were installing a new computer system and had to re-enter all data back in by hand. They sent me a merged listed of the Masonic and Waverly Cemeteries.
