    3. I looked at the following site for the Rainwater 1850 Census data and found what I believe to be a couple of errors with regard to James Rainwater, the Blacksmith. http://www.chronography.com/rainwater/1850.html This is as it is listed on the site: District 10, Campbell Co., GA, pg 406B, line 2, D58, F58 James Rainwater, 49, WM, Blacksmith, $150, SC Appalsy Rainwater, 48, WF, SC Viney Rainwater, 26, WF, SC Elizabeth Rainwater, 21, SC Nancy Rainwater, 18, WF, GA, attended school Sarah Rainwater, 15, WF, GA, attended school Bathsheba* Rainwater, 5, WF, GA Beason Rainwater, 15, WM, GA George Rainwater, 9, WM, GA Daniel Rainwater, 6, WM, GA William Cunningham, 63, WM, NC *This name was almost impossible to read, and the best I could make of it was Bkasarrah. I'd love to know what it really is, though. And this is what I read from the same page in the 1850 Census. District 10, Campbell Co., GA, pg 406B, line 2, D58, F58 James Rainwater, 49, WM, Blacksmith, $150, SC Apposley 48, WF, NC Viney 26, WF, SC Elizabeth 21, WF, SC Nancy 18, WF, GA Sarah 15, WF, GA Rhosannah 5, WF, GA Reason 15, WM, GA George 9, WM, GA Daniel 6, WM, GA William Cunningham, 63, WM, NC I have always assumed this is the best Census for James Rainwater, the Blacksmith, because it was done by his cousin James Rainwater, the Preacher who likely got the names and ages more nearly correct.
