    3. Hi Annie, Have been going through all my files to answer your question. As far as I've been able to find out through census' and other records-Enoch F. Rainwater was the son of John and Barbara (Emert) Rainwater.I've never found him as John Nelson R. anywhere except in family information submitted to the IGI and Ancestral File. John F. Rainwater is shown on the 1860 Ray Co.,Mo census (pg 189-fam # 1296) as a child of Enoch F. and Cate (Catherine Remely) Rainwater. Enoch is shown as "school- teacher" bn Tn. Cate is bn Mo. They md 5 Jan 1854 in Ray Co.,Mo. (M515661-Film # 959300) The M means it's an extracted record from a microfilm of the original record. My question is - where were they on the subsequent censuses? I'm assuming this is John Freeman R. Again, I haven't found him as such on any record. Would appreciate any input on this family. Hope this helps some. I'm going uo to Salt Lake on the 10th for the Utah DAR State Conference and I hope to get some research done while I'm there, this time. If I find anything I'll keep you posted. I have inadevertently connected John Freeman Rainwater with two Enochs - one the son of John Nelson Rainwater, and the other the son of James Rainwater and Polly McDaniel. Where does he belong?
