Hi Leila - That War of 1812 listing was the first mention I'd ever seen of Edward and Newton, so sadly, I have no other information. What I can tell you is that Capt. McClellan's company was based in Pulaski Co., KY. Also, neither Edward or Newton appear in the 1810 or 1820 Kentucky census. I know they are not sons of William Rainwater, and had wondered if they might be the sons of the mysterious Abraham Rainwater who lived in Pulaski and Russell counties, but he either died with no will, or left Kentucky before 1840.
