Rainwater) The second daughter of Philip and Elizabeth Ragan Emmert, was born Sat. 8 Feb 1812 on the watershed of Copeland Creek, part of the Emert Cove avea in Sevier Co., TN. She was md. on Wed. 28 Nov 1827 (Family Bible) to John Nelson Williamson in Sevier Co., TN. John Nelson was a son of John & Nancy Williamson and was born on Monday, 3 Apr 1809 in Cocke/Sevier Co., TN. John N. & Catherine R. Williamson were listed in the 1830 Fed. Census of Sevier Co. There was only one child in the household at that time - a male under age 5. Catherine and John gathered their children and migrated to Ray Co., MO. They left Sevier Co., TN circa 1835 along with the other family members and friends. The couple was listed in the 1850 Census of Ray Co., MO. There were 7 children in the household: Elizabeth age 18; Lucinda (my great grandmother) 15; Lewis 13; Martha 11; John 9; Nancy 6; and James 2. Philip Riley had married and lived in a separate household. About 1864 Catherine and John again gathered the children and set out for the far West. This time to Benton Co., Ore from Ray Co., MO. They lived the remainder of their lives here. John Nelson Williamson died on Saturday, 3 Jul 1875 and Catherine died Saturday, 20 Oct. 1883. They were buried in the Gingles Cemetery in Benton Co., Ore. Their first three children were born in Sevier Co., TN - the last 8 born in Ray Co., MO. 1.
