    3. Hi Katherine, I have been reading over the info that you sent to your cousin Dennis RAINWATER in 1995 and I have been thinking about trying to contact you. Good news that you are on the RAINWATER-List. Also I noticed your sources were all in GA. Have you tried looking at anything in Alabama where your Great Great Grandfather James T. RAINWATERS was born and died? Do you know if there is a Head Stone on his grave, or cemetery records? Dennis sent me page 408 entitled Cullman County Churches and Cemeteries - Holly Pond Cemetery. It lists RAINWATER, James T., Sept 27 1836 - March 7, 1905 RAINWATER, Susan E., May 25, 1840 - June 22, 1912. How about church records? With two preachers in the family, I bet there are some church records somewhere. Have you tried for Civil War Records? He was the right age to have served from Georgia. I am descended from : OLD John RAINWATER-Mary FUSSELL James RAINWATER-Catherine REGAN William RAINWATER-Patsy HODGE Bartholomew RAINWATER-Nancy McLAUGHLIN Sciota Bethene RAINWATER-John Levi ELDER Nancy Belle ELDER-George Calvin LEWELLEN Dora DAWSON - Sciota Belle LEWELLEN I was lucky on this family because of family bibles and others willing to share the fruits of their research. Please let me hear from you.
