Considering both the difficulties that Robert A. mentions of getting people to contribute and the costs involved in physical newsletter publication, I think it might make more sense to set up an online newsletter. It could change on a quarterly basis if new articles and info were submitted, or could remain unchanged if there was nothing new to say. An archive of the mailing list could be kept on the site, lists of sources for Rainwater documents, photos, gedcom files, etc. There would be no need to verify the work - just put on a disclaimer saying that the information is contributed and the reliability of it depends on the quality of the research. I do think it would be well to avoid the vitriolic tone that the newsletter occasionally took over certain issues. I too am irritated when people don't proved their work and have little patience with the "indian princess" myths, but it simply doesn't work to berate people about it. My personal experience is that you can pursuade some people, while others are permenantly clueless no matter what you say to them. Regards, Susan Chance-Rainwater
