Hi Bob, Just a short note-I've found another child to be added to the family of Silas Mercer R. of Fayette Co.,Ala. Her name is Dora Metta R-the gr-grandmother of Gary Stevens who had messages on the list.I found her marriage record in SL. She was bn 28 Apr 1883 and md 23 Mar 1899. Thus she did not appear on the 1880 nor the 1900 in a family.She was under 18 when she md so she had to have written permission in front of a legal witness-which in this case was a Probate Judge. This was written on the bottom of the marriage record Hope all is well with you and Marty.We're fine ,but busy. I told Charles we'd better find jobs so we can have some time off. Seems like we're busier now than when we were working full-time. I can't visualize anyone saying "there's nothing to do- I'm bored", with so much to do. Oh well. Take care. Glidie
