W.VA he was born in 1889 in Marion Co. Ky. I'm told his father was Stanton Rainwater (Marion Co.) That's where I've hit a wall. My ggmother was Stantons 2nd wife, don't know her name. May have been Mattie/Martha/Emily Jane, surname Cloud or Barnes, from W.VA. Anyway, Stanton was already old when they married but they had several children - David, Thomas, Dow, ?Clancy and Sally. I'm told that when Stanton died, 2nd wife sold farm and moved back to W.Va. Recently made a trip to Nancy, Ky, where most of Stanton's first family lived and found a grandson, but he was already in his late 80's. Didn't get much help, we just figured out Stanton had been married twice. And my ggmother was the one that sold the farm and left the county. Any comments helpful.
