Hi, not my line but was cleaning the stacks of paper off my desk this morning and found the following letter to me from one Rosy White, Rt 2, Blakely, GA 31723..........will paraphrase: "I am trying to locate parents of Julia Rainwater b 1880-1883 Douglas Co., GA. She had a brother Sam Rainwater and they both married Strawn's who were brother and sister.....Sam married Susan Strawn 9 May 1897 Douglas Co., GA.....I found Julia in 1880 Census with Elhannon Rainwater enumerated as niece, this Elhannon was son of Miles Rainwater.........I have about concluded that she was out-of-wedlock dau of one of Miles' daughters......This Miles was a son to James and Apposley b Sept 10, 1818 in SC, then Elhannon son of Miles and Mary b Dec 4, 1849 Campbell Co., GA had sons: John, George, Sam, Dave, William, Frank, and two daughters Ora and Cora.....which incidentally Julia named one of her dau's Ora....On the white side my folks came in from SC thru Elbert GA. I was born Brazos Co, TX but born a Smith......signed Rosie." Interested, contact Rosie at above address I have no further data this family..... Hal
