John Rains,b.1759, lived in Randolph Co.,NC for a period of time. His kin to the rest of the Rains is not known by me. Yes, he returned to Virgina and married Letitia_____. Some say she was Indian. John and Letitia then proceeded to populate abt. 1/2 of Tenn. and then filled up Arkansas. This John was very prolific or at least by those who claim kin to him.
