John Reynes is stated to have been a clerk in Westmoreland County, Virgina. He left a will dated August 31, 1664. He gave his estate to a female friend outside the family. Figure that out Ha!. We next find another Robert Raines and again quoting " Cavaliers and Pioneers'. It states " at A Court held for Essex County, Virgina in 10 March 1703 sold 3700 acres for Importation of 74 people into Colony". Robert Raines was one of the 74 listed. Next p. 5
