In " Marriages of Early Virginans" it states that Samual married before 1729, Hagen Davis, daugther of John Davis whose will of that date, Lancaster Co. ,proves it. Samual Rains Another Robert Rains from "Cavaliers & Pioneers, Abstracts of Virgina Land Patents and Grants, Volume 3" it states that Roberet arrived from England in 1723. He sold his 50 acres for transportation with a group of others October 28,1723. This land was in King & Queen County, Drysdale Parish.
