John Raine b. 5Julu 1726 of Goochland s/o George Raine b. 1706 of Henrico &etc. John married 1st Susannah Mitchel & etc. I'm confused as my records show prepared by Dr. Thomas Hart Raines who was an early member of the Virgina Genealogy Society says that John Raines b. 6 July., 1726 s/o Thomas Raines and Elizabeth married Amy G. Mitchell b.31 August., 1732. They had 3 sons and one daugther. This was all in Bristol Parish, Prince George County. The John of whom I quoted from the Douglas Register did marry Susannah. Do you have the lineage of the Mitchell's? I don't want to type that up unless I need to. You can see on their genealogy chart where Amy and Susannah come in. I think, however, that the date for John on the currently circulating family group sheet is likely to be wrong birth date for the one who married Susannah. I am glad you noticed because I was up too late when I looked that up and didn't note the two duplicates. It would be nice to get that straight. I'll go check with THR report tomorrow and see what he has.
