He married Susan Maetta Burton in 1880 in McKinney, Collin Co. TX. She was born in Missouri, but most of her family was from TN. I've written for his birth certificate, but I must have the wrong name or something, it came back unable to locate. My grandmother was Clara Rains. She was # 6 of 10 Rains children, all of whom lived to adulthood. My grandmother died in 1991 at a month and a half shy of 103. Any help pointing me in the right direction greatly appreciated!
