I just read an email that suggests that Robert Rains in Randolph Co. 1810 Census and gone in 1820 is a great possibility for my 2nd great grandfather. He is however taxed in 1815, so would think he didn't die until after then. If any one that might know anything about this Robert would kindly get back to me, I would greatly appreciate it.
