Caroline, Lawrence , my 4g-gf , could have been A Quaker. I have looked at ever source that was available to me. He diffently had some Quaker qualities and seemed to follow Quakers to Ohio. At the time he left NC many Quakers were leaving; however, other people were leaving too. I searched ever Quaker information in NC and in Ohio but never found his name. I found where one of his decendants was removed from the Church for marrying out of the Church. I will have to look that up. He did not fight in the RW nor did he ever own any slaves.
