    3. I have had surgery and been away from my computer or would have placed this message earlier. REMEMBER this is a list for genealogical discussion of the Rains family, not a request line for Melva's password. She has done much research over the years concerning the rains family and many may be interested in working with her web site BUT contact her personally NOT the list. These messages are archived for future help of others and 30 plus messages are only asking for this password. If you feel a need to discuss this message, DO NOT send it to the list, but to me privately. Let's get on with the work of genealogy - Vergil you were helping many with your info and it is appreciated. Let's hear more form you and from others! 3. Dear Bill, With a name like Browning I am wondering if you descend from John Rains and B. Goulden. Do you? Anyway, to access our website you need to be a member of Rains Research Group which isn't hard to do. I need your lineage from oldest ancestor down to say 1900. I try to erase living people but sometimes miss when I'm entering the information into the membership directory. The people need to have approximate dates and locales so I can list them in the appropriate place. I you are from John Rains and Goulden, just say so. I will put you in that section and you won't have to type up anything of the older generations since I already have it. I need to know how you connect, however. Also it is helpful to know your own city and state and what type of files you can read such as PC: Treemaker MS Word, etc. When I hear back from you I'll send you the access words. 3. Dear Melva, I would like to have a user ID number. As I recall, you said you would put my name with Jeannine Harber as we were researching the same family. I have been doing research trying to connect our Jane Sharp and George Rains with the Sharp and Walker families in Whitley County, KY, but so far have come up empty handed.
