    2. Mary, this book starts in RCNC. J. Floyd Bullock tried to get back to Caroline County, VA. but could not. He had the same trouble that we have today. He discusses the Rainsmen of RCNC. He takes his and my 4g-gf , Lawrence Rains, to Ohio. Then it goes across the top of the U.S. to Missouri, Iowa, and Texas. There are only a few Texas Rain(e)s in the book simply because there were not that many of this line. Actually only two brothers came into Texas. So now my gf line is almost dead. I am the youngest male decendant and the last of our line in Texas. So to be kin to other Rain(e)s Ihave to go back to NC and go South. This is simply the story of A Raines family with all related families. It is 275 pages and I doubt if another family is so well researched. Vergil Raines my gf added the (e)

    3. I tried writing for one in Texas. Came back couldn't locate it in the area of Collin Co. or surrounding counties that year or surrounding years. I guess I'll have to get creative with his name. One gr-grandmother had a very surprising variation on her name and it came back right away. I'll try T.M.; F.M.; T.W.; F.W.; Thomas M.; Thomas W.; ect. next time! Thanks for the advice.! I'm not giving up. 2. Hello researchers! Can anyone identify the Etta RAINS who died in December 1986 in Clarksville, Red River County, Texas? She was born June 10, 1901, place unknown. I got this information from Social Security Deaths; hers was issued before 1951 in Texas. I am actually searching for Etta ENGLE RAINS, of Pryor, Mayes County, Oklahoma. Is this the same Etta? 1. [RAINS] And The Rain(e)s Came
    2. Dolores, The book that I have " And The Rain(e)s Came" was a private printing of a book written by J. Floyd Bullock. His total goal was to get it to as many people that might be interested in the Rain(e)s name. It was his genealogy history with all related families. The book is out of print and all I'm trying to do is offer copies to anyone who may want it. Do you have problems with this? If so please let me know. Vergil Raines Baxter60@aol.com
