    2. Another John. Born approximately 1810. John Ragan had siblings: Celia, Anna, Nancy, Melvina, Samuel and Marion. No information. Some time ago we posted to Ancestory.com the John Ragan/Azula(Arzula) McIntosh line from Anna, Union County, Illinois. We have a copy of the marriage certificate dated 7 July 1833. The line we were able to establish with certainty was John Ragan's marriage to Azula(Arzula McIntosh). We also confirmed all of John and Azula (Arzula) children and children of those children etc. John and Azula (Arzula McIntosh) had children named: Elbert (1835); Ann(a) (1837); Jane (1839) - married Thomas E. Brann 23 Oct 1859); Josiah Ragan, b. 20 Jul 1840 in Anna, Union, Illinois to Mary Parcell. d. 17 Feb 1937 in Modale, Iowa and was a Civil War veteran) and Harvey Albert Ragan's grandfather (author of this e-mail); Melvina married William Orton 17 June 1865; Thina (maybe Geney Ragan), spouse John A. Neitfield; William John Warren b. 1 Nov 1851, Anna, Union, Illinois, d. 19 Jan 1926; married Emma Belle Grady in Anna, Illinois and d. there 19 Jan 1926 buried in Cobden Cemetery, Union, Illinois; we note that John Warren had children Carrie Ragan who married Henry Rader, a May who married Darnell, a Carl A. Ragan who married Eva H. Hind and d. in Fremont, Nebraska and a Ray Ragan. John Warren Ragan lived between Anna, Illinois with daughter Carrie Ragan Rader and a niece Catherine (Callie) Ragan Hammer in Modale, Iowa. He died and was buried in Anna, Illinois with Carrie signing death certificate and not knowing mother's maiden name. And, finally - Samuel N. b. 1855 with spouse Elizabeth (Lizzie) Sullinger.m. 10th Mar 1877. So our question is: Does any one have anything on the 1810 John whose wife Azula or Arzula McIntosh. ************************************** See what's new at http://www.aol.com
