James, Jeremiah Reagan or Ragan, Daniel's father, was an early settler of Greene County, Tennessee along with a number of Harrisons. A Jesse Harrison appears on the Greene County tax list for 1798 "for Dan Regan" with 275 acres and 1 white poll. Neither Jesse nor Dan Regan appears in the same company in Greene County (Captain Reese Gullock's) in 1800. So Daniel was probably in Kentucky before 1798. I have not tried to check the date of purchase of the land he says in his will that he bought from Nehemiah Cravens in Christian County. Daniel's will also mentions a tract of land in Washington County, Tennessee "on Cherokee Creek" that he still owned at his death in addition to the Christian County land. Jeremiah never left Tennessee for Kentucky. He died in Washington County, TN in 1831 and is buried in the Old Uriel Methodist Church Cemetery there along with other family members. I think I remember that this cemetery is on land the church bought from him. On line records state that Jeremiah, son of Timothy, married Abigail Harrison on October 1, 1764 in Rockingham County, Virginia. I have not verified the marriage or paternity. Daniel's wife Elizabeth Harrison is a cousin of his mother.
