All.... Spencer Ragan of Fayette County, KY is my 4 great grandfather. He and his family moved from Fayette County north to Campbell County, now Kenton County, KY in the early 1800s. They settled in the Independence area where John, Spencer's son and my 3 great grandfather, is buried. Spencer moved along with several children to IL where he died. Eli is a given name in this line although I cannot personally document a connection among the three men you cited: Spencer, Eli and Stephen. A "Ragan cousin" Suzi Kicker has considerable information on the line and may have the data you seek.
