Through most libraries , you can access on line the Heritage database which lists pension applications. However, these apps were not allowed until the 1830's...nearly 50 years after the war ...many soldiers didn't make it. Many claims were rejected. Any decent library has indexes to send for records. I think that is where some good information might be found. I am researching this line as well as our James Regan was born in PA in apx 1796. ************************************** See what's new at http://www.aol.com for Ragan-Roots archives go to http://archiver.rootsweb.com/th/index?list=ragan-roots ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to RAGAN-ROOTS-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
