    3. I have an ancestor named Michael Regan who was born in Chester County, Pa. in 1730 and died there in January of 1773. I have heard rumors that he was in the Revolutionary War but I have no proof. He had 4 sons who were mentioned in his will which was proven on March 29, 1773. The sons names were John, James, William and Michael Jr.. Michael Jr. is my ancestor and he was born in 1759 in Chester County and died on August 21, 1831 in Pulaski County, Ky. Michael had 9 children and his 3rd child Samuel married Sally Godbey and had Galen Regan. Galen married Susannah Godbey and they had 6 children. There 2nd son, John Godbey married Nancy Coffey and one of the 7 children they produced was my grandmother Susan Nell Ragan. I show them going from Pennsylvania to Virginia then Kentucky. Samuel and some of his other children ended up in Illinois but John Godbey's children ended up in Kentucky, Ohio & Tennessee. My grandmother married a Van Winkle then after having 4 children they divorced and she married a Jones. My Dad, one brother and a sister that died the same day she was born were the result of the marriage to St. Clair Jones. St. Clair died when my dad was 8 y/o and my grandmother moved to Portsmouth, Ohio. Most of my family still lives in central Ohio. Many of the men in the Regan/Ragan family were Methodist ministers. The 1st Regan/Ragan I know was a Methodist minister was Galen.
