In the 1800 Abbeville, SC census on p. 19 is what I read as Peter Ragon 2 1 x 1 x 1 1 x 1 x. Yes ? Then on p. 40 of the same census is what I read as Christian Ragon 4 x x 1 x x 1 x 1 x x Yes? Who can tell me about the Jemimiah Riggins in the 1790 NC Tyrrell Co Census.? Maryellen

Maryellen, I forgot to add regarding Jeremiah Riggins of Tyrell Co., NC, since there is a Joseph Ragon in 1785 Chowan Co., NC (located just north of Tyrrell), i am wondering if they are somehow connected? (Anyone know who this Joseph is?) Also since Northampton & Bertie Counties are also close (where some of the descendants of Daniel Regan of Surry VA moved to & died), I am wondering if this Jeremiah could also be a decendant of Daniel? Daniel did have a son Jeremiah born by 1667 who sold land in Surry Co., VA in 1699. Nothing more is known abt him. Also will of Jacob Riggan of 1803 (recorded 1816) mentions as a witness a Jeremiah Riggin Jr & Samuel Riggin. Is this the Jacob b. 1755 NC, s/o John & Ann Bell Riggins? This Jacob had a brother William who had sons Samuel & Jeremiah.
