I wouldn't pay attention, except that is my own theory and the second such reference I've encountered to a SC immigration... There are three loci for the name Littleton Rxxx before 1800. One is in MD, born 1734. We believe there are two more here and that id is misapplied to just one. The second place is Bute/Warren NC with the birth of twins in 1784 to Frances II. One is handicapped. A later nephew in this group is also named Littleton. The third Littleton buys in Greene Co GA in 1799. He leaves a paper trail all over the state of GA. He dies in AL. The 90++ researcher mailed me a paper trail that shows our mutual Beaird/Ragen ( from Littleton #1) relations moving to LA in the 1850's...where they marry the descendents of Frances Riggan of Warren NC, the family with Littleton #2. You'd think folk with two names ( Peter and Littleton) that weren't William or John would have it easy. A Wm Ragain is in 1779 Randolph NC Tax List A Peter Ragain is 1st Corporal in Samuel Reids Comp. in Rowan Co., NC in 1780. A Thomas Riggin is listed in 1784 Bladen Co., NC.
