    3. Since Mathew-2 (James/Joan) died 1716, would not the Mathew #2 possible s/o John-2 & Elizabeth x wood be the mathew who md a Chapman and is mentioned in John Woods 1740 probate/estate, and Chapmans 1745 will and the 1752 land transaction to John Chapman. This Mathew #2 (John-2/Elizabeth) had to be born aft 1714 and bef 1728. Mathew had a daughter Elizabeth by 1745 & had a wife Sarah in 1752. Why would John Wood mention Mathew-2 in 1740 if he/Mathew-2 died in 1716? Since this John Wood is s/o Elizabeth x Wood who later md John Reagan and (allegedly) had Matthew from this union, Mathew R and John Wood III would be half-brothers (kin) according to John Woods probate/estate.
