    3. Indeed it is interesting! This is my new PERSI assignment... as I mentioned, the author of this info cites a MD GEN publication as source of the childrens' name assignment... My library is tops... and Allentown Indiana is drivable...I need to see the source for myself... skeptic that I am... I really feel this is fresh perspective ... I agree your Peter most likely falls in here.... this is the joy of cluster genealogy... it's slower, but turns up lovely oddities. I am still having trouble putting both Francis and John in the same cluster with William just yet. the bunch from Charles Co MD go in two directions... the upshot is William Powell and John and Francis come from 2 different VA clusters. I refuse to believe that they land in Bute NC just by coincidence. I'm not fond of coincidence. The big elephant in the room is Daniel. I want a better grip on William, and the interactions of William and John and Francis before watering the elephant. I have more goodies from my last library trip to share. will return, M'ellen -------------------------------------------------- From: "james garrett" <jwgarrett@webtv.net> Sent: Tuesday, August 17, 2010 9:05 AM To: <ragan-roots@rootsweb.com> Subject: [RAGAN-ROOTS] FW: Charles Ragen/Riggins > > > From: jwgarrett@webtv.net > To: ragan-roots@rootsweb.com > Subject: Charles Ragen/Riggins > Date: Tue, 17 Aug 2010 08:04:12 -0500 > > > > > M'ellen > you have provided info that John-2 (James/-1/Joan) may have had a son > Charles-3. > According to Johns birth and death date his children had to be born bet > 1714 & 1728/30. > Thus his alleged son Charles was born 1714-1728/30. > > What is interesting is that the Charles of 1766 Bute NC is listed as > Charles & Son Riggins. > The son was likely age 16-20, b. 1746-1750.
